About
Desmond was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, and developed an early interest in woodworking. In his twenties, he moved to New York City and explored various career paths.
Still passionate about woodworking, he joined 3rd Ward, an artist collective in Brooklyn, where he took courses in joinery, wood carving, and furniture restoration.
He furthered his woodworking skills at the Vermont Woodworking School in Burlington VT, where he learned woodturning.
Since 2012, Desmond has lived in Brittany, France. His designs feature clean, simple lines, and each piece is thoughtfully crafted from meticulously selected wood.
Clients past and present include SCDA Architects based in Singapore, the Los Angeles-based Design Studio “Commune”, French actress Juliette Binoche, chef Alain Ducasse, chef Jean-François Rouquette (Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme) and the late interior designer Christian Liaigre.

Toujours passionné par le travail du bois, Desmond rejoint 3rd Ward, un collectif d'artistes à Brooklyn, où il suit des cours du soir en menuiserie, sculpture sur bois et techniques de finition.
Il approfondit ses compétences à la Vermont Woodworking School à Burlington VT, où il apprend le tournage sur bois.
Depuis 2012, Desmond vit en Bretagne, en France. Ses créations, faites avec un bois rigoureusement sélectionné, sont élégantes et épurées.
