About
Desmond was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, and developed an early interest in woodworking. In his twenties, he moved to New York City and explored various career paths.
Still passionate about woodworking, he joined 3rd Ward, an artist collective in Brooklyn, where he took courses in joinery, wood carving, and furniture restoration.
He furthered his woodworking skills at the Vermont Woodworking School in Burlington, where he learned woodturning.
Since 2012, Desmond has lived in Brittany, France. His designs feature clean, simple lines, and each piece is thoughtfully crafted from meticulously selected wood.
Some of his clients include the Los Angeles-based Design Studio “Commune,” chefs Alain Ducasse, Romain Meder, and Jean-François Rouquette, the late Christian Liaigre, and actress Juliette Binoche.

Il approfondit ses compétences à la Vermont Woodworking School à Burlington, où il apprend le tournage sur bois.
Depuis 2012, Desmond vit en France. Ses créations, faites avec un bois rigoureusement sélectionné, sont élégantes et épurées.
